Harburn Hobbies, in the historic city of Edinburgh, has a long history. It was established back in the 1930's and has been Scotland's premier model shop for many years under the ownership of Bob and Gill Baird. Following their retirement, the shop became part of the Peco family in the Spring of 2025.  This popular shop is conveniently located at 67 Elm Row, on Edinburgh's historic Leith Walk, and is only a ten-minute walk from Princes Street and Waverley Station. An easy way to get to the shop is to use Edinburgh's Tram line - the McDonald Road tram stop is situated right outside the front door.

Our other Harburn Hobbies shop has been located in Beer, at the headquarters of Peco, since 1975.  Together these two shops offer a wonderful personal service to customers.  Our staff are knowledgeable and can offer advice on a whole host of model railway and modelling-related subjects.

Both shops specialise in model railways, stocking items such as locomotives, rolling stock, scenic items and more in all the popular scales. You'll be surprised just how much we offer to make your model railway complete!

You can also purchase a vast range of Edinburgh or Beer-based souvenir items, ideal for that momento of your visit.
